meet the housewife

I’m not an expert at anything. I love to cook, clean, and care for my family (which at present is my handsome husband in our apartment in San Francisco). I love to eat and drink and watch the Real Housewives of Everywhere and basically anything on the Bravo network.

I married the love of my life in June of 2009. We met at a bar in stockton. I totally picked him up.

He totally said “you can’t meet anyone decent at a bar”

Then I said “well, this is like the third time I’ve met you here, so….”

And the rest is history.

I work full time in property management. I’ve been doing that for about 5 years.
I studied Spanish in college.
No hablo espanol. Solo un poco.
I try to do yoga.
I believe in naturally curly hair.
I believe in drinking champagne during the day while watching bad TV.
I think I need to have my hip replaced.

I try to eat real food (it’s a good thing I like to cook… homemade bread from scratch is a PROCESS!)
I really love to cook. Especially Thanksgiving. I’d eat anything if there was enough gravy.
Except for melon.
I have a shopping problem.
I don’t drive.
I have a touch of the OCD (did I mention I love to clean?). I use natural or basic cleaners in my home (soap, vinegar, baking soda… that’s pretty much it. Except for the bottle of Tilex that is a hand me down from the previous occupant of our apartment, and a can of Barkeeper’s Friend which is my dirty little toxic secret)

I am a major greenzo. I don’t use paper towels, and haven’t purchased any for over 3 years. I compost. I recycle. I take my own jars to the bulk food section and weigh it empty (the “tare weight”) and then pay for just the weight of the beans, or whatever it is. I cringe when take out comes in styrofoam.

I really want to have babies and stay at home and watch them become people. And I want to not have to go to work. I would totally work from home! I just like my house…

And Julia Child is my hero.
